y work combines the worlds of textile art and sustainability by giving the ordinary an extraordinary meaning. The focus is on upcycling, consciously reusing and redesigning materials that are often considered unusable.
I work with old, spurned textiles, reworking them using various techniques such as printing, dyeing and embroidery and combining them with found objects made from other materials such as metal and plastic. These methods give the materials new depth and tell stories of transformation and revitalization.
Each piece tells a story - of waste, transformation and the possibility of finding beauty in what others overlook. My art invites us to rethink our perception of value and resource and to see in the diversity of the everyday a source of creativity and inspiration.
